2020 Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show

Dear valued Stakeholders, Members and Patrons,

Given the recent Federal Government directive to ban all gatherings of 500 people or more outdoors and 100 people indoors to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on our communities, the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Show.

This was not a decision that was made lightly as we are incredibly aware of all the people and businesses who are impacted by this decision. Given the fluid nature and constant change in the situation and the prospect of continued change in our community we felt it safer to cancel the show. We will begin focusing our energy on putting together a bigger and better show for our community in 2021.

Discussions were had to postpone the show to a later date, however we decided it was in the best interest of our Members, our competitors and you, the people that make our show so amazing that focusing our energy into the 2021 show will allow us to put on a fantastic show that won’t be marred by COVID-19.

During this difficult time, we appreciate the understanding and patience of our dedicated stakeholders, members and most of all you the patrons. The Sunshine Coast Agricultural will honour all existing contracts and retain our staff during these challenging times in our community.

2020 would have been our 115th show. Our history is rich and long and this is just a small hump in the road of our future plans as we continue to bring you the best showtime entertainment the Sunshine Coast has to offer!

The committee and its volunteers will continue to work throughout the year to prepare another amazing show for 2021, we cannot wait to see you there!

Yours sincerely,

Rowan O’Hara
President
Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society.
