Hours of operation

The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show typically runs for 3 consecutive days roughly during the middle of June. Sign up for our newsletter to receive more information closer to show opening.

Our gates open from 8:00am each day.

Approximately 8pm Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday 7pm.

The show concludes each night at 9:30pm.

General

The Main gate is closed to ALL traffic from 8am to 6pm each day.  If you need to access the showgrounds, you must do so via the Bli Bli and Crushers gate.

Whilst we love our fur friends, no you cannot bring a dog onto the grounds, unless it is a registered assistance dog and you can verify this.

Our wood chopping events are only on Friday and Saturday, there is no wood chopping on Sunday.

The showgrounds do not cater for general camping throughout the year, however camping is available for some of our entertainers, competitors, and exhibitors by arrangement during show time.  Please contact the office if you would like to arrange camping during the show.

The Sunshine Coast Showgrounds are managed by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.  For any enquiries regarding hiring the grounds or any facilities, please contact the Council Show office on 07 5476 2948

Due to bio-security regulations, all horses and cattle must enter through the Bli Bli Gate which is located on Crusher Drive.  Unless otherwise advised, all animals exit via Crushers.

Absolutely you can. Please contact the Show Office and we will mail one to you.

If you have tried to enter on ShowDay Online and are experiencing recurring difficulties, please contact the office and we will help you out.

Tickets

Pass-outs are available at each gate, at the discretion of security/gate staff, to allow customers re-entry to the show.  Pass-outs are only available prior to 9pm and subject to the Sunshine Coast Show Conditions of Entry.

If you are a Carer, you gain free access to the show however, your client will need to pay.

Unfortunately, if you are a parent or a companion of someone who is competing, or performing, you will still need an entry pass.

If your employer, work colleague, or friend is already inside the show with your ticket, you will need to get in touch with them to meet you at your current entry gate.

Transport

Unfortunately, we do not have a taxi rank as such so where you get dropped off is up to you – main gate and Crushers are easy to drop people off at.

If you arrange a taxi home, please make sure that you stipulate where you would like to be picked up from as we have three gates – Main, Bli Bli and Crushers.

Sure – if you are being dropped off, the main gate on Coronation Avenue is fine, as is Crushers Gate.

If you are being picked up, please remember to specify where you would like to be picked up from as we have three gates – Main, Bli Bli and Crushers gates.

The Sunshine Coast Show is well supported by local transport.

Trains run frequently from Brisbane or Gympie to Nambour on the standard timetable.

TRANSLink buses run regularly between the Nambour train/bus station and the Maroochydore transit centre on Aerodrome Road, at Sunshine Plaza. A free shuttle bus picks up from the Council Office Carpark, and the Nambour train/bus station and runs to the Show Main Gate roughly every 20 minutes.

Please visit TRANSLink to plan your journey by train or bus.

See Public Transport above

At the Show of course. We have onsite parking at Crushers Football grounds and a free people transport that will take you straight into the Showgrounds. The transport is wheel chair and pram friendly, and starts at 8am morning and runs until after the fireworks.

Parking tickets can be purchased on the day, but we encourage you to pre-purchase a parking ticket to guarantee  yourself a spot.

You can park on the street but please do so safely and be considerate of our neighbours.  Council parking inspectors patrol the area during Showtime.

Facilities

If you are coming in a group, we suggest that you have a “if we get lost or separated, where will we meet” plan.

For small children, we recommend that they have their carer’s details on them so we can contact them quickly. The Show office is the best place for lost people as we have the ability to contact the Police and Security as well as being able to get the message out on the loud speaker across the Show grounds. The Show Office is located opposite the open air pavilions.

Lost property usually finds its way to the Show Office where we will contact you if the item has a name and phone number on it.

Lost items are held in the office for approximately 2 months.

We have 2 Parents rooms located on the Show grounds. One is near the Show Office while the other is located in the Kids Marquee near the corner of rodeo drive and the Cattleman’s toilet facilities. Visit the Plan page to see where they are.

Commonly known as the Show Office, we are located opposite the open air pavilions, to the right as you come in from the main gate.

If you are looking for the Council Showgrounds Office, it is located on the ground floor in the Southern building opposite the horse stables.

There are a number of ATM’s located on the showgrounds. Please go to our Plan page for locations.

We have two designated smoking areas for the Public. One is located to the near the Main gate, in front of the Community garden (in front of the old school house), while the second one is partway up the road towards the Bli Bli gate. Take a look our our Plan page for a map view

We will happily charge your phone for you in the Show Office. Whilst we have generic iPhone and Samsung cords, you may need to provide your cord if you have a newer or older phone.

If you require Show information and it is not on our website, please see us at the Show Office opposite the open air Pavilion and we will do all we can to assist you.

Thanks to Unity Water, we have a water van inside the show grounds for you to be able to refill you water bottle free of charge. This is located next to the first aid office, opposite the stables.

We have first aid assistance on site. It is located under the Nicklin building on the south side, and is next to the Unity Water Van – just near the southern horse crossing from the stables.

With animals on the grounds, we make sure that we have hand wash stations. These are located in the Animal Precinct near the horse crossing.

Hand washing facilities are also located in the public amenities blocks on the grounds. Please refer to a map for the location of your nearest facility.
