For the first time at the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show, you can roll up to the “Makers Tent” to crochet, knit, or to learn how. Open all weekend, it’s perfect for all ages. We’ve got yarns, needles, hooks, and helpful hands – just bring your enthusiasm!
To celebrate World Wide Knit (and crochet) In Public Day, a free, drop in workshop is being held on Saturday, 14th June. Learn to make adorable, crocheted hearts that double as hairpins or brooches, or give them away to spread the love.
Lynda Tomkins from Crochet Australia and this year’s Show organisers envision a sea of people wearing hearts and sharing them with those who might need a little extra cheer. It’s a fun way to connect with your community and pick up some nifty new skills.
Don’t miss this chance to make a heart, wear a heart, and give a heart at the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show. The Makers Tent will be open Friday through Sunday, with the Crochet Hearts workshop running on Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Come by – you’ll be hooked!
