SHOW JUMPING RULES APPLY:

SHOW JUMPING WILL BE CONDUCTED UNDER EFA RULES.  EFA RULING THAT ALL PRIZE-WINNERS MUST PRESENT REGISTRATION INFORMATION  BEFORE PRIZE MONEY WILL BE AWARDED – THIS WILL BE ENFORCED.

EA rules apply:

1. Horses may compete in two (2) classes each day, unless stated.
2. Horse and rider can only compete in one (1) Championship each day.
3. Horses can only enter one (1) age class and one (1) open. Not both age classes.
4. Only three (3) horses in the practice arena at any one time.
5. Show Jumping will be conducted over two (2) rounds only.
6. Helmets must have a current compliance tag.
7. The Sunshine Coast Show will comply and abide with Qld Ag Shows and EFA regulations and testing.
8. Unless otherwise stated Shirt, Tie and Jacket are to be worn for all events.

CONDITIONS HAVE CHANGED SO PLEASE READ THE SCHEDULE CAREFULLY.

The Show is conducted under the Rules and Regulations of the Sunshine Coast Show 

Society Incorporated and the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies.

1. SHOW ENTRY/EXIT INFORMATION: - Livestock entering the Showgrounds prior to Show time can enter via the Bli Bli gate.  During Showtime (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), all livestock to enter via the Crushers Park entry.  Exit will be via Bli Bli gate. There will be no exit via Crusher Park as this is a one way road.

Due to limited vehicle space, only the towing car/truck will be permitted onto the showgrounds. All other vehicles will be required to park elsewhere.   Drivers need to co-operate with Parking Stewards for the best parking arrangements and maximum safety for horses, riders and public. All vehicles coming onto the grounds agree to abide by the SCASS traffic management plan.  

2. Horse Health Declarations are to be handed into the Horse Office before competing in any event. SCASS Pic # QACU0542

3. NOMINATIONS – All entries to be entered online at    www.sunshinecoastshow.com.au.  “Company” is your Stud Name, “Exhibitor” is the Owner’s Name, “Rider Name” is the Rider’s Name.  There will be NO REFUNDS after nominations have closed - except via email request to show manager for an injured horse.  Must be accompanied with a Veterinary Certificate. If a refund has been approved by the committee, payment will be paid within four (4) weeks after the Show.

Refunds will not be available if you choose to change classes after nominations have closed.

4. GRAND PARADE – Champions, Reserve Champions and First in Class Prize Winners, prior to the Grade Parade on Saturday (14/6/25), at 1.30 pm are expected to take their place in the Grand Parade.  Prize Money will be withheld until after the Parade.  
5. RIDER’S AGE –Saddle Horses and Galloways may be ridden by persons of any age or at the discretion of the exhibitors.  Parents are solely responsible.
6. HARASSMENT OF JUDGES OR STEWARDS –Competitors and their supporters are reminded that any person or persons who harass a Judge or Steward may be disqualified for the remainder of the day, or the duration of the Show, with all awards and entry fees forfeited, and potentially asked to leave the grounds..  A Competitor may converse with the Judge only with the permission of the Steward in attendance. 
7. PROTESTS –Any Protests must be lodged at the Ring Secretary’s Office within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the event with a fee of $50 cash which MAY be refunded if the protest is upheld.  The only protests which will be considered are those made by Competitors in the relevant event.
8. DRUG TESTS –Judges and/or Stewards reserve the right to call for a drug test if considered appropriate.  Competitors must comply with drug testing if requested.
9. MEASURING –Measuring will only be done if a dispute is lodged and the Ring Master will have the final say.
10. STABLING – Stabling is available for the duration of the Show but numbers are limited.

• STEWARDS ARE NOT ABLE TO TAKE STABLE APPLICATIONS 
• Stables must be applied for directly via Equipe.
• Stables will not be allocated until payment has been received. No payment – no stable.   
• All stables booked will incur a $40 per stable Cleaning Bond for the Show and may be refunded after the Show if the stables are left clean to the Steward's satisfaction.  Bonds not collected by Tuesday June 17th are considered a donation to the Show Society. Bonds are only refundable with a check ticket from the Stable Steward, and can be presented at the Treasury office for refund.  Refunds will not be processed any other way.
• Stabling will be according to horse requirements, NOT personal requirements so please don't ask as we don't wish to offend.

11. LIABILITY –All horses are stabled at the Owner’s risk.  The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society Inc. takes all care but no responsibility whatsoever.  
12. CAMPING – Limited sites are available on the grounds at a charge of $10.00 per person per day / $25.00 per person per show and strictly within the site area as defined by Stewards/Attendants.  Camping includes those sleeping in Trucks/Horse Floats etc. Camping details on Stables form.
13. PROGRAM CHANGES –Stewards reserve the right to alter or cancel any event during the Show.
14. TRUCK AND FLOAT PARKING –Competitors who intend to stay and camp and have paid stable and camping fees MUST park as directed by the Parking Steward or a SCASS representative.  NOTE: Strict Parking Conditions Apply – Any vehicle NOT towing a Float will NOT be permitted in the Livestock area.  FREE Float and Truck Parking is provided as directed by the Parking Steward.
15. WAIVER -To comply with insurance all entrants must complete a Waiver (attached & available on website);
16. DOGS - DO NOT bring dogs onto the Showgrounds as they are NOT permitted.
17. FEES - If there are any outstanding fees (including stabling), competitors will be unable to compete or collect prize money and may be ineligible for prizes.
18. TSHA CLASSES - All horses entering the thoroughbred classes must present their TSHA licence.  TSHA Licences can be purchased on Global Entries online.  Log in to Global Entries and go to “manage horses” to fill in all details and pay for the licence. 19. Competitor’s Passes will be made available to competitors prior to the show via a link which will be emailed out allowing the competitor to purchase an entry ticket at $30 giving access for the 3 days of the show.

PRIZE MONEY:    NO PRIZE MONEY WILL BE PAID OUT IF THERE ARE ANY OUTSTANDING FEES. All prize money will be available for collection from the Cashier at the Horse Office, located beside the Main Ring as soon as possible after 1.00pm each day of the Show.   In some Classes, goods or trophies will be presented instead of money.  Cheques cannot be posted as a receipt is required for each payment.  Prizes whether trophies, goods or money not collected by 30th June 2025 will be forfeited.  No Championship or Reserve Championship prize money will be paid before the Grand Parade on Saturday 14th June.  No prize money will be paid out if there are any outstanding fees.

DISCLAIMER:  The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society (SCASS) shall not be responsible for any accident that may be caused to or by an exhibitor, members of the general public or competitor and will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for any losses or non-delivery of livestock or entries of any kind, or any injury or damage done thereby.  Persons contravening any of SCASS’s rules/regulations shall forfeit any prize awarded.  SCASS reserves the right to refuse or cancel or require any entry to be removed at any time.  Exhibitors shall accept the decision of the Stewards/Judges appointed by SCASS as final.  The decisions of the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society Committee are final.
