CONDITIONS: Please read the Schedule carefully:-

The Show is conducted under the Rules and Regulations of the Sunshine Coast Show Society Incorporated and the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies

1. SHOW ENTRY/EXIT INFORMATION:- Livestock entering the Showgrounds prior to Showtime can enter via the Bli Bli gate. During Showtime (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), all livestock is to enter via the Crushers Park entry.  Livestock exit via Bli Bli Gate Show. There will be no exit via Crusher Park.

Due to limited vehicle space, only the towing car/truck will be permitted onto the showgrounds. All other vehicles will be required to park elsewhere.  Drivers need to co-operate with Parking Stewards for the best parking arrangements and maximum safety for horses, riders and public. All vehicles coming onto the grounds are subject to, and agree to abide by the SCASS traffic management plan.

3. NOMINATIONS - All entries are to be entered online at www.sunshinecoastshow.com.au  "Company" is your stud name. "Exhibitor" is the Owner's Name, "Rider Name" is the rider's name.  There will be NO REFUNDS after nominations have closed - except via email to show manager and with production of a Veterinary Certificate.  If a refund has been approved by the Committee, refund will be paid within four (4) weeks after the Show.  

THE ONUS IS ON THE COMPETITOR TO NOT EXCEED ENTERING CLASSES THEY PHYSICALLY CAN NOT GET TO. Refunds will not be available if you are not able to compete when your class is called.  Refunds will not be given if you choose to change classes after nominations have closed.

4. GRAND PARADE – Champions, Reserve Champions and First in Class Prize Winners, prior to the Grand Parade on Saturday (14/6/25), are expected to take their place in the Grand Parade.  Prize Money will be withheld until after the Parade.  You must present the ticket you will be given to the cashier.
5. RIDER’S AGE – Saddle Horses and Galloways may be ridden by persons of any age or at the discretion of the exhibitors.  Parents are solely responsible.
6. HARASSMENT OF JUDGES OR STEWARDS – It is necessary to remind competitors and their supporters that any person or persons who harass a Judge or Steward may be disqualified for the remainder of the day, or the duration of the Show, with all awards and entry fees forfeited.  A Competitor may converse with the Judge only with the permission of the Steward in attendance.
7. PROTESTS – Any Protests must be lodged at the Ring Secretary’s Office within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the event with a fee of $50 cash which MAY be refunded if the protest is upheld.  The only protests considered are those made by Competitors in the relevant event.
8. DRUG TESTS – Judges and/or Stewards reserve the right to call for a drug test if considered appropriate.  Competitors must comply with drug testing if requested.
9. DISTRICT DAY – Friday – District events are open to those horses owned by bonafide residents of Sunshine Coast and Noosa Council areas - evidence of residence may be requested. Horses are eligible to compete as Hack OR Hunter Classes only NOT BOTH.
10. MAIDEN – Maiden is a horse or a rider that has never won a first prize in any similar competition to that for which it is competing at an Agricultural Show.  Once a horse has won a Maiden event it is no longer eligible.
11. NOVICE – Novice is a horse or rider who has not won an Open Championship prize at an Agricultural Show.
12. STALLIONS – Stallions are eligible for Hunting, Jumping, Breed or Western events unless otherwise specified.  All stallions competing in led-in classes must have a Stallion Bit or chain and lead.
13. GALLOWAYS – Galloways over 14hh up to and including 15hh.
14. BREED CLASSES – Entries to be registered with the appropriate Breed Society.  Ridden classes to commence after Supreme Led.
15. MEASURING – Measuring will only be done when a dispute is lodged, and the Ring Master will have the final say.
16. STABLING– Limited stabling is available for $25 per day or $60 for the duration of the Show.

• STEWARDS CAN NOT TAKE STABLE APPLICATIONS 

• Stables must be applied for directly through the office via the Stables Application Form which will be available on the website  www.sunshinecoastshow.com.au   
• All Stables booked will incur a $40 per stable Cleaning Bond for the Show and may be refunded after the Show if the stables are left clean to the Steward's satisfaction. 
• No stable Allocation until payment has been received in the Show Office.  No payment – no stable.   
• Stable numbers are limited so have your application in by the end of May. 
• Stabling will be according to horse requirements; NOT personal requirements so please don't ask as we don't wish to offend.

17. LIABILITY– All horses are stabled at the Owner’s risk.  The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society takes all care but no responsibility whatsoever.  No Refund unless cancellation is received by 4 p.m. Friday 30th May 2025.  Refunds will only be processed post-show.
18. CAMPING – Limited sites are available on the grounds at a charge of $10.00 per person per day / $25.00 per person per show and strictly within the site area as defined by Stewards/Attendants. Camping details on Stables form.
19. PROGRAM CHANGES – Stewards reserve the right to alter or cancel any event during the Show.
20. TRUCK AND FLOAT PARKING – Competitors who intend to stay and camp and have paid stable and camping fees MUST park as directed by the Stabling Steward.  NOTE: Strict Parking Conditions Apply – Any vehicle NOT towing a Float will NOT be permitted in the Livestock area.  FREE Float and Truck Parking is provided as directed by the Parking Steward.
21. WAIVER - To comply with insurance all entrants must complete a Waiver (attached & available on website);
22. DOGS - are NOT permitted on the Showgrounds.  Roaming dogs will be impounded as per Council regulations.
23. FEES - If there are any outstanding fees (including stabling), competitors will be unable to compete or collect prize money and may be ineligible for prizes.

PRIZE MONEY: No prize money will be paid out if there are any outstanding fees. All prize money will be available for collection from the Cashier at the Horse Office, located beside the Main Ring as soon as possible after 1.00pm each day of the Show.   In some classes, goods or trophies will be presented instead of money.  Cheques cannot be posted as a receipt is required for each payment.  Prizes whether trophies, goods, or money) not collected by 30th June 2025 will be forfeited.  No Championship or Reserve Championship prize money will be paid before the Grand Parade on Saturday 14th June.  

DISCLAIMER:  The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society (SCASS) shall not be responsible for any accident that may be caused to or by an exhibitor, members of the general public or competitor and will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for any losses or non-delivery of livestock or entries of any kind, or any injury or damage done thereby.  Persons contravening any of SCASS’s rules/regulations shall forfeit any prize awarded.  SCASS reserves the right to refuse, cancel or require any entry to be removed at any time.  Exhibitors shall accept the decision of the Stewards/Judges appointed by SCASS as final.  The decisions of the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society Committee are final.
