Poultry

Overview

The Sunshine Coast Show’s Poultry Competition is a proud tradition that celebrates the skill, dedication, and passion of poultry breeders and keepers. Open to exhibitors of all experience levels, this competition showcases a wide range of birds, including heritage and modern breeds of chickens, ducks, turkeys, and more.  It is one of the biggest bird shows in South-east Queensland.

With categories highlighting different breeds, sizes, and characteristics, the competition provides an opportunity for exhibitors to gain recognition for their birds, receive valuable feedback from expert judges, and connect with a community of fellow poultry enthusiasts. Whether you're focused on breeding for show quality or simply love raising happy, healthy birds, this event is a fantastic way to share your passion.

All birds are displayed at the Sunshine Coast Show’s Poultry Pavilion, where visitors can admire the beauty and diversity of poultry breeds while learning more about responsible poultry keeping. More than just a competition, this event helps preserve the region’s agricultural heritage, educates the public, and fosters a love for poultry among future generations.
