It is one of the biggest bird shows in South-east Queensland.

All birds are displayed at the Sunshine Coast Show’s Poultry Pavilion, where visitors can admire the beauty and diversity of poultry breeds while learning more about responsible poultry keeping. Calling all poultry enthusiasts! The Sunshine Coast Show’s Poultry Competition is your chance to showcase your finest chooks, ducks, turkeys, and other feathered friends. Whether you’re a seasoned breeder or new to the world of poultry, this competition is the perfect opportunity to display your birds and celebrate the art of poultry keeping.

The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show also encourages nominations for associate judges and stewards to foster development and education for the next generation.

Yes, but please discuss this with the Head Steward when you drop them off.

As much as we would like to oblige, due to a strict traffic management plan, we are unable to allow vehicles in earlier. If it is urgent that you collect them, please talk to the Head Steward.

No, as our stewards take extra special care of all birds so that they enjoy their time at the show as much as our patrons do.

Terms & Conditions

The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show will be run with a Qld. Health safe plan, based on current restrictions and guidelines. This can change at any time, so please check our website leading up to the Show at www.sunshinecoastshow.com.au

The Sunshine Coast Show is a ticketed event from Friday to Sunday inclusive.

Access is only via a ticket on these days.

GATE FEES APPLY TO ALL EXHIBITORS - STRICTLY NO TICKET NO ENTRY

Please read the schedule carefully as conditions have changed.

CONDITIONS:

Entries must be the bona fide property of the entrant and should have been owned by the entrant for a period of not less than 3 months.
Birds are to be delivered to the Stewards in the Les Dowdle Pavilion (Poultry Pavilion) from

5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday 11th June or between 6:30 am and 8:00 am on Friday 12th June 2026, or by arrangement with the Chief Steward.

Birds must be entered correctly – NO transfers will be allowed. When entering details on ShowDay, the Exhibit line requires either the name of the Bird, ie, “Vegemite”, “Nutella” or “n/a”. Names or identification of the owner may disqualify the entry.
Please return Penning Numbers to the Stewards after penning your birds.
Judging will take place from 8:45 am on Friday, 12th June 2026. Exhibitors are not allowed to talk to the judges during the judging process.
Exhibitors are asked to claim birds after 5:00 pm on Sunday, 14th June.
All Exhibitors are to ensure the safety of their loads before leaving the showgrounds at the end of the Show. Please also ensure that Patrons of the show have the right of way when you are exiting in your vehicles.
Please also refer to the General Conditions in this Schedule relating to livestock, care and responsibility.
All Exhibitors are required to pay admission to the Show.
Classes will be provided for any breed, variety or colour not specified herein when 6 or more entries are received. Please list breed, variety, or colour on the entry form.
No bird will be disqualified as long as they are a reasonable representation of the entered breed and is healthy and vermin-free.
There is no limit to the number of entries that may be made by an exhibitor.
Every care will be taken of exhibits, but no responsibility will be accepted for loss or damage.
To comply with insurance, all entrants must complete a Waiver (available on the website).
All vehicles coming onto the grounds agree to abide by the SCASS traffic management plan. No vehicle entry during Show operating hours.

Anyone wishing to sell birds by treaty - birds will be collected on Sunday, and is the responsibility of the exhibitor to hand them over to the new owner. They must be out of the shed by 6 pm Sunday.

After the Judging of Champions is complete, the Judge will be available to chat regarding your bird.

Should you have difficulty entering your birds on the ShowDay Online website, please contact the Chief Steward or the show office.

The GRAND CHAMPION BIRD will be the Best Overall bird of the Show.

PRIZE MONEY and PRIZE CERTIFICATES: No prize money will be paid out if there are any outstanding fees. All prize money will be available for collection from the Cashier at the Treasury, located beside the Main Office as soon as possible after 2:00 pm on the Friday of the Show. All prize money is GST-inclusive. Prizes not collected by 30th June 2026 will be forfeited. Prize cards will not be held after June 30th.

DISCLAIMER: The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society (SCASS) shall not be responsible for any accident that may be caused to or by an exhibitor, members of the general public or competitor and will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for any losses or non-delivery of livestock or entries of any kind, or any injury or damage done thereby. Persons contravening any of SCASS’s rules/regulations shall forfeit any prize awarded. SCASS reserves the right to refuse, cancel or require any entry to be removed at any time. Exhibitors shall accept the decision of the Stewards/Judges appointed by SCASS as final. The decisions of the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society Committee are final.
