The Sunshine Coast Show’s Ceramics Competition is a celebration of the artistry, skill, and creativity behind handcrafted ceramics. Open to potters, sculptors, and ceramic artists of all levels, this competition showcases a diverse range of works, from functional pottery to intricate decorative pieces. Whether crafted on the wheel or shaped by hand, each entry highlights the beauty and versatility of clay.
With categories covering traditional and contemporary styles, entrants have the opportunity to display their best work, gain recognition for their craftsmanship, and receive valuable feedback from expert judges. This competition is a fantastic way to connect with fellow artists, share your passion for ceramics, and be part of a community that values creativity and artistic expression.
All entries will be displayed at the Sunshine Coast Show’s Ceramics Exhibition, offering visitors the chance to admire the talent and dedication of local ceramicists. More than just a competition, this event honours the rich tradition of pottery and inspires new generations to explore the possibilities of clay.
In 2026, we are happy to announce a new class - Open Sculpture. This new class is open to all forms of materials in the creation of a unique sculpture.
