The National Fire Ant Eradication Program are a nationally cost-shared program overseen by a National Management Group (NMG), representing the Australian Government, as well as state and territory governments. NMG is responsible for our program’s strategic direction, with technical advice and support from a national consultative committee. The program is the largest biosecurity eradication program ever undertaken in Australia, with the program leading the effort to eradicate this invasive pest.
