Section 21 – Photography



Minimum print size 13cm x 17cm (5″ x 7″)

Maximum print size 40cm x 50cm (16″ x 20″)

Class 21001 – “Country to Coast – Together we are Stronger”  – Colour or Monochrome Print

Class 21002 – Any Subject – Monochrome Print – Open 

Class 21003 – “Portrait, Single or Multiple Persons” – Colour or Monochrome Print 

Class 21004 – Landscape/Seascape – Queensland – Colour or Monochrome Print 

Class 21005 – Nature and Wildlife Print – Colour and depicts living untamed animals, insects, and uncultivated plants in a natural habitat. Evidence of the presence of mankind must be avoided.

Class 21006 – Pets and Animals – Colour Print

Class 21007 – Colour or Monochrome – Rural Australia – Entries to depict any aspect of non-urban life or scenery representing life in a rural setting capturing the spirit of Australian Countryside. The Photograph MUST be taken in Australia

Proof of Club membership may be requested by Head Steward.

Class 21008 – Nature Print – Colour or Monochrome Print – Depicts living untamed animals, insects and uncultivated plants in a natural habitat.  Evidence of the presence of mankind must be avoided. 

Class 21009 – Open Portrait – Portrait, Single or Multiple Persons


Class 21010 – Open Print – any subject, any perspective – Colour or Monochrome

Class 21011 – Any Subject –  Colour or Monochrome Print – For Juniors up to grade 6 – Primary School 


Class 21012 – Portrait, Single or multiple Persons – Colour or Monochrome Print – For Students in Senior School only 

Class 21013 – Landscape/Seascape Queensland – Colour or Monochrome Print



Section 21 – Photography Conditions

The 2022 Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show will be run with a Qld. Health safe plan, based on current restrictions and guidelines. This can change at any time, so please check our website leading up to the Show at


The Sunshine Coast Show is a ticketed event Friday to Sunday inclusive – 

access is only via a ticket on these days.



  1. Entries must have been taken by the exhibitor.
  2. Entry forms must reach the Show Office by 4.00pm on Friday 3rd June 2022.
  3. Class tickets to be printed out when entering online. If unable to print please ask for them at the show office when dropping off your entries. The class ticket that does NOT have your name on it to be attached to the Front Upper Right corner of each mount. The other ticket with your name is for you to keep and submit to the steward to pick up your entries after the show. Entries will NOT be released without this ticket.
  4. Photographs must be delivered to the Show Office before 4pm on Friday 3rd June 2022. No late entries will be accepted.
  5. Exhibitors from outside the Sunshine Coast region may post their exhibits with class tickets attached to reach the Society by Monday 30th May 2022 and are asked to enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope / packet for return of photographs after the Show. Exhibitors requiring prints returned by post must include a suitable envelope with sufficient postage to cover the cost of return.
  6. The name of the exhibitor must not appear on the face of the print. The Exhibitor’s Name and Address, Title and Class of the Entry, is to be printed in block letters on the back of the entered mount.
  7. When entering on ShowDay, please fill in the Exhibit line with the name of your Photograph i.e. Mooloolaba Sunrise; Hinterland Sunset etc.
  8. Any prize winning photographs exhibited in any previous Sunshine Coast Show are not eligible for entry.
  9. Prints must be no smaller than 13cm x 18cm (5” x 7”) in the Open Section or 15cm x 10cm (6”x 4”) in the Junior Section. Maximum size of any prints is to be 40cm x 50cm (16” x 20”).
  10. Framed Prints will not be accepted.
  11. Glass Mounted Framed Prints will not be accepted.
  12. Exhibits may be collected from 6pm Sunday or on Monday (13th June), or Tuesday (14th June) from 7.30am to 12.00noon, or by arrangement with the Head Steward or Pavilion Steward. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the Chief Steward, any photographs left after June 30th will be disposed of.
  13. Exhibitors must present their nomination receipt to collect entries or prizes.
  14. Exhibitors are not permitted to interfere with the judging process.
  15. Provisions are made for awarding 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each class. Judges may withhold any or all places if exhibits are not of an acceptable standard.
  16. There is no limit to the number of entries which may be made by an exhibitor.
  17. The Society reserves the right to exclude from judging or display any exhibit which does not comply with the above conditions.
  18. Every care will be taken of exhibits, but no responsibility will be accepted for loss or damage.
  19. To comply with insurance all entrants must complete a Waiver (available on website)
  20. Prize Money may be collected from the Treasury upon presentation of your nomination card. All prize money is GST inclusive.
  21. All vehicles coming onto the grounds agree to abide by the SCASS traffic management plan – no vehicle entry during Show operating hours.


PRIZE MONEY: All prize money will be available for collection from the Cashier at the Treasury, located beside the Main Office as soon as possible after 2.00pm on the Friday of the Show. All prize money is GST inclusive. Prizes not collected by 30th June 2022 will be forfeited. No prize money will be paid out if there are any outstanding fees.

DISCLAIMER: The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society (SCASS) shall not be responsible for any accident that may be caused to or by an exhibitor, members of the general public or competitor and will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for any losses or non-delivery of livestock or entries of any kind, or any injury or damage done thereby. Persons contravening any of SCASS’s rules/regulations shall forfeit any prize awarded. SCASS reserves the right to refuse or cancel or require any entry to be removed at any time. Exhibitors shall accept the decision of the Stewards/Judges appointed by SCASS as final. The decisions of the Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show Society Committee are final.

How to Enter

The Sunshine Coast Agricultural Show uses Showday Online for all of our section information including entries. If you wish to enter into any of our sections for the upcoming show, you will need to follow the below instructions in order to apply.

Log in or register at using the options in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Select the show you would like to enter (SCASS).

Enter the name of the Exhibitor / Competitor.

Enter the name of the Exhibit / Animal in the Exhibit box if applicable or leave blank.

Scroll down to the bottom to Select Classes.
– Step 5.1 – Click on the Plus symbol beside the Area you would like to enter.
– Step 5.2 – This may display notes relevant for this Area. Read the notes and scroll to the bottom and click on OK to clear the notes.
– Step 5.3 – Below your chosen Area, will be the Section. Click on the Plus symbol to display
the classes available to enter. Notes may pop up for the Section. Read the notes and scroll to the bottom and click on OK to clear
the notes.
– Step 5.4 – Tick each of the classes you would like to enter for this person / combination. If entering multiple Sections, please then
click the Plus symbol beside the next Section you would like to enter and repeat the above steps.

Once you have selected all the classes you wish to enter the current Exhibitor or combination into, scroll up and Click on the green
ADD ENTRY button.

If extra information is required for your entries, then a pop-up window will appear, and you will need to fill out the requested information. If this information is not relevant for your entry, then please put N/A.

Once submitted this will then list all your classes under the YOUR CLASSES heading.

If you need to enter another Person’s entries or other person / combinations entries, please scroll back up to the Name of Exhibitor / Competitor box and repeat steps 3-6. Repeat for all Entrants / Combinations you need to enter for this show.

Once all entries have been placed Click CONTINUE.

Review all of your entries, if you need to remove any, Click BACK and you will be able to click the REMOVE button beside the entry.

If you are a CURRENT MEMBER of the show, slide the ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP PRICING? Button to the right to get discounted entry fees. If you are not a current member of this show society, you will be required to pay full price entry fees.

Once you are happy with your entries scroll down and book any Extras you need for your entries, eg. Stables, Camping, First Aid fee.

Click UPDATE to update the Total money owing.

Slide the I AGREE button to the right to agree to the terms and conditions of the show and this website.

Click CONTINUE to proceed to the payments page.

Click on PAY WITH CREDIT CARD to proceed to the payment gateway. Here you will be required to put in your Credit Card details.

Once the Payment has been approved please click CONTINUE to be directed back to the THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENTRY screen.
Your entry will not be completed until you return to this page.

You will now be emailed an Acknowledgement of your entry. If you are having difficulty with entering online, please contact the office.

Please note that your entry will not be sent through to the show until there has been a successful payment made.
